Basilea Pharmaceutica AG („Basilea“ oder die „Gesellschaft“) gibt heute bekannt, dass sie den Rückkauf von ausstehenden Wandelanleihen im Nennwert von CHF 47'085'000 mit Fälligkeit 2022 (ISIN: CH0305398148; SSN: 30'539'814) („Bestehende Anleihe“) im Rahmen ihres teilweisen Rückkaufangebots und die Ausgabe von CHF 97'085'000 neuen Wandelanleihen mit Fälligkeit 2027 (ISIN: CH0554992062; SSN: 55'499'206) („Neue Anleihe“) abgeschlossen hat.
Durch den Rückkauf von CHF 47,085 Millionen ihrer CHF 200 Millionen Bestehenden Anleihe und durch die Ausgabe der Neuen Anleihe von CHF 97,085 Millionen gelang der Gesellschaft ein wesentlicher Schritt in Richtung ihres Ziels, das Fälligkeitsprofil ihres Fremdkapitals zu verbessern. Basilea hat ausserdem den grössten Teil des Nettoerlöses aus der Emission der Neuen Anleihe, der nicht für den Rückkauf der Bestehenden Anleihe verwendet wurde, zur weiteren Optimierung des Fälligkeitsprofils des Fremdkapitals vorgesehen.
